Here are a list of some of my tried and true editing apps. I have found that for myself each app has it’s strength. So, I am constantly switching in and out with apps depending on what I am editing. Without further ado, here are my favorites!
Honestly, I think some people are sleeping on the Iphone edit app. It is truly one of my favorite editing apps. There is a lot of customization available and I love the presets available. You do have to play around a little to get the look you want, but for me it’s definitely worth it.
Vsco, I love the VSCO app. It’s my tried and true when I have images of people/selfies. My favorite preset is the A6. I love how it just smooths out skintones and the overall tones it creates. I don’t use this too much for my flatlay images but it is the only thing I’ll trust with skintones.
Yes, I totally use the Instagram app. Honestly, I use it about 99% of the time when I am about to post an image onto Instagram. My image is already edited but I will usually without fail increase the exposure and clarity again on the Instagram app before uploading.
Fotograf is really great! I don’t use it as much as I used to. But, I used it almost daily when I wanted my images to have more of that moody muted feel. But really it’s great for a variety of styles. What I love is that once you customize an image, you can save the customization and use it for future photos.
So, this last one I actually have not tried yet. But I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about it, so I am definitely planning on trying it out soon. I hear that it’s really great for food photography. Expecially if you work with a lot of white surfaces because you are able to really make the whites whiter without compromising the rest of the photo.
Have you tried any of these? What are some of your favorite editing apps?
